ANDREW MCPHERSON

Andrew McPherson is a 2-time Juno Award nominee and 2-time Canadian Music Award winner. A music industry veteran of over 30 years, Andrew has released a total of 14 albums to date with projects exploring his love of globally diverse sounds (Eccodek), ambient instrumental work (Peppermoth) and solo work as a singer-songwriter. In 2009, Eccodek performed alongside fellow Juno Award nominees, Hawksley Workman and Great Big Sea, for the live awards broadcast in front of 1.8 million viewers. The following year Eccodek joined a who’s who of Canadian artists celebrating Canada Day in London England’s Trafalgar Square before thousands of attendees.

Andrew has amassed an extensive resume of collaborative projects and remixes for a litany of artists including Vieux Farka Touré, Jane Siberry, Desert Dwellers, Kiran Ahluwalia, Philosopher Kings, Lenka Lichtenberg, Dub Colossus, MC Yogi, Delhi 2 Dublin, Stephen Fearing, Deva Premal, Kevin Breit and many more. His work has appeared on distinguished labels like Six Degrees Records, Real World Records, Buddha Bar, White Swan/Black Swan, The Ambient Zone, National Geographic, EMI and Sony Music, while receiving critical praise from the Boston Globe, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, Exclaim!, Stereogum, National Geographic, Now Magazine and more.

He operates a full service recording studio, The Monastereo, from his Guelph home. In addition, Andrew is an in-demand voice actor, currently the network voice of HGTV Canada and Hollywood Suite and has anchored countless campaigns for BMO, CI Investments, Kraft, Ford, Rogers, Labatt’s, Avis, Lipton’s, Kingdom Builders and more.
