Antonio Geremia is 12 years old and is currently in Grade 6 at Wheatley School in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Antonio has a passion for singing, music and piano. He has been a three-time recipient of the Canadian National Conservatory of Music Silver Medal for achieving the highest mark in Canada for his grade level classical piano accomplishments from 2018-2021 for Grades 1, 4 and 5 piano. In late April of this year, he was also featured in his school’s theatre production of “Seussical the Musical” in the role of Horton the Elephant.
Most recently, Antonio advanced through his class, school, local and regional speech competitions achieving first place at each of these respective levels. As such, just this weekend, Antonio was in Sarnia representing Niagara at the Provincial Finals of the Lions’ Club Effective Speaking Competition. His passionate speech about the importance of preserving Niagara’s Greenbelt has also been recognized by the Lions Club which has asked him to speak at local engagements this spring, including the annual Farmers’ Agricultural Evening and other notable events.
Most recently, Antonio also advanced to the Niagara Regional Science Fair at Brock University, where he was the first place Gold winner in the Junior Category, along with winning various awards which included the American Meteorological Society Award, and the University of Guelph Plant Science Award.
When he is not busy at school playing football and soccer at recess, or being the Grade 6 rep on Students’ Council, Antonio loves to play travel soccer with the Welland Wizards and also enjoys playing baseball and swimming.
