Duncan Wilson

Duncan Wilson (b. 2002) is a Toronto-based pianist rooted in the bebop tradition. Born and raised in Orillia, Ontario, Duncan currently studies jazz performance at the University of Toronto. His teachers have have included Chris Donnelly, Mike Murley, and Kelly Jefferson. He has performed as a leader or sideman at many venues and festivals throughout Toronto and Ontario, including but not limited to: The Rex, The Jazz Room, The Horseshoe Tavern, The Kensington Market Jazz Festival, and the Festival of the Sound. He also served a stint as the pianist for the Toronto All-Star Big Band. Duncan‘s artistic influences include Kenny Barron, Bud Powell, Oscar Peterson, and Hank Jones.
