Sunken Groove is a jazz quintet formed in September 2024 by senior music students at West Niagara Secondary School. The group features Ethan Cardwell on trumpet, Alexie Wichartz on alto saxophone, Eva Talvitie on keyboard, Noah Ames on bass guitar, and Ben Gash on the drums. The ensemble came together through a shared interest in jazz and improvisation, and they enjoy exploring a mix of classic jazz standards and contemporary styles.
