Swing Theory

15 to 17 band finalists. Swing Theory is the Jazz Combo from West Niagara Secondary School. Established in the fall of 2024, the group brings together a talented lineup of young musicians: Nico Acheson (drums), Julian Gaumond (alto saxophone), Isobel McPetrie (bass), Clara McNeil (tenor saxophone), Julia Meyers (piano), and David Ruczynski (guitar). These musicians enjoy exploring a wide range of jazz styles, from swing and bebop to blues and Latin, and are developing their ensemble skills through creative collaboration and live performance.
