WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
We will continue the countdown to Niagara’s Summer Mardi Gras with this interactive, live streamed presentation hosted by Danielle Murray and Mary Comfort of Comfort Kitchen as they show us how to make Cajun shrimp and southern bread pudding at home to get ready for Mardi Gras day. This session will also feature New Orleans cocktails using spirits from our own local Forty Creek Distillery.
About Mary and Danielle
Mary and Danielle met at Beamsville District Secondary School and have been friends ever since. They have both traveled the world and lived in very diverse areas, but a few years ago they both ended up back in Niagara where they renewed their friendship and discovered their shared love of cooking.
About Christopher
Christopher started his career in hospitality as a dishwasher at the tender age of 14. As he matured he studied Art History, travelled the world, and developed a passion for entertaining. Since his arrival in Toronto in 1994, Christopher has bartended at some of the premier restaurants the city is famous for, not to mention a number of major cultural events including Nuit Blanche and the Toronto International film festival. His work experience has brought him an extensive knowledge of wine and spirits, developing unique cocktails for restaurants and bars all over the city. He is a consummate host, whether at work or at home.
