ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
DENIELLE BASSELS
Indie-Swing chanteuse and bandleader Denielle DeLange (Bassels) hails from Toronto ON. Her original music whimsically weaves a caravan of influences from her childhood and travels abroad from folk and blues, to Parisian jazz manouche and swing. Denielle’s original music has been described as “Ella Fitzgerald sipping tea on a rollercoaster with the Mad Hatter”. Denielle’s voice is as pure and rich as her performance style. She will immerse you in her tales. Denielle will be joined by Julien Bradley Combs on guitar and Russ Boswell on upright bass.
Denielle will be performing an intimate set of jazz standards with some of her original compositions from What About Wool Wishbags as well as from her upcoming album.

RUSS BOSWELL
Russ Boswell has toured and/or recorded with some of Canada’s top artists including Corey Hart, David Wilcox, Serena Ryder, The Parachute Club, Colm Wilkinson, Seals and Crofts (USA), Holly Cole, Dianne Tell, Ian Thomas, Marc Jordan and many others. His theatre credits include Come From Away, The Last Ship featuring Sting, Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Hair! and Tommy.
JULIEN BRADLEY-COMBS
Julien Bradley-Combs is a promising Toronto-based guitarist and composer. He has recently completed his Bachelors degree in Music, with Honours, from Humber College where he was the recipient of the Yamaha Music Award and the Musicounts Award.
Julien is a regular performer around Toronto and Southern Ontario, and plays a variety of musical genres. He has performed in several local jazz festivals (Toronto Jazz fest, Niagara Jazz Fest, Kensington Market Jazz Fest, Orangeville Jazz Fest), as well as at Toronto venues such as The Rex Hotel, The Home Smith Bar, The Emmet Ray, 120 Diner, and many others. Julien has performed with many acclaimed musicians, such as Christian McBride and Emilie-Claire Barlow during their residencies at Humber College, Ted Quinlan, Vaughan Meisner and Drew Jurecka.
