ABOUT THE SHOW:

All about the Bass (‘Bout the Bass)

Our combo of Voice and Bass is a big part of what makes the show unique.  This wonderful duo will mix up classic standards with covers of pop and country tunes along with Shannon’s original compositions.
Ross and Shannon attended high school and university together so I think it’s also special that we have been friends and bandmates for so long! And Ross lives in the Niagara community so he’s one of your own!
Presented by Niagara Jazz Festival in partnership with
Niagara Artists Centre and co-sponsored by DPLU Music

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Shannon Butcher is an acclaimed Canadian singer, songwriter, arranger, and record producer. She charms audiences with her joyful wit and warm energy – her performances capture the unique spirit of each song while also celebrating the playful nature of jazz. Born in Mississauga, Shannon is proud to be an established part of the Toronto jazz community both as a performer and educator. She has been a fixture in major festivals in Ontario, toured across Canada and performed across The United States and in England. Shannon has released five albums under her own label Summer Bloom Records, her first album earning an iTunes’ Best New Jazz Artist of the Year award.
