Sammy Jackson, With You in concert
An exciting and intimate evening of music with JUNO award winner Sammy Jackson and guitarist Tom Fleming. Sammy Jackson creates and performs music that tells a story and evokes emotion while drawing inspiration from Jazz and incorporating elements from the R&B and Pop genres. She performs with a 5-piece band featuring voice, guitar, piano, bass and drums. Listeners can expect original music from Sammy’s upcoming album titled In The Meantime set to be released in 2024 in addition to music from her JUNO Award-winning album, With You.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Singer-songwriter Sammy Jackson is quickly becoming one of Canada’s top vocalists, with a personal style that deftly blends jazz, pop, and R&B. With a resume that boasts a JUNO Award, collaborations with top artists such as Barbra Lica, Rich Brown, Larnell Lewis, and D.D. Jackson, and performances at some of Canada’s most prestigious venues, including the Glenn Gould Studio, Koerner Hall, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, the Jazz Room and Westben, Jackson consistently captivates audiences with her singing, compositional accomplishments, and collaborative artistic spirit. Her latest EP – the JUNO-Award winning With You – is a sophisticated, intelligent, heartfelt portrait of a musician coming into her artistic prime. Three years after her last release, Sammy Jackson is excited to share her newest song, Honey, set to be released this fall featuring some of the top young musicians in Canada.

2023 JAZZ 4 the AGES Youth Finalist Ellie Warren is an 18-year-old vocalist who has been singing and writing songs since she was a child, and in the past few years, she has been able to channel her passion into more concrete work through her involvement in her local arts community.
